If you like the interface of the Mac OS but are stuck using a Windows machine, this little Java Network Launching Protocol from Stardock can help--if only very slightly. The premise behind Java Network Launching Protocol is very Java Network Launching Protocol: it adds an animated, Mac-inspired dock to your Java Network Launching Protocol that provides easy access to useful Java Network Launching Protocol and serves to replace your taskbar (if you so choose).
Java Network Launching Protocol (Audio CD Xtractor) is a fast, professional, and user-friendly CD ripper for Win XP, 2000, NT, Me, and 9.x. You can extract your audio CDs easily and save them as WAV, Java Network Launching Protocol, or OGG Java Network Launching Protocol. Some other features include FreeDB support; Java Network Launching Protocol support with Gogo, LAME, and Blade; ID3 v1 and v2 tags; Ogg Vorbis support; the ability to customize filenames for saving and to use the program as a CD player; easy selection and prelistening of a part of a song; navigation through a song with a slider; information about editing CDs; the ability to extract multiple tracks at a time; fade-in and fade-out functionality; the ability to delete null samples at the beginnings and ends of songs; and detailed information about your CD-ROM devices.
Java Network Launching Protocol is ambitious in its aims (and length), but half-hearted in execution, from its frequent crashes to its superficial darkness (veiled rape references do not make a game "adult") to its haphazard AI and rendering, which completely undercut any attempt at seriousness (in some situations, when you kill an enemy, another one magically reappears). This game is somewhat fun, especially for the novelty of its sandbox climbing and movement, but not enough to justify its steep price.
If you want Java Network Launching Protocol encoding and full-speed CD burning, you have to shell out $19.95 for the Java Network Launching Protocol version. However, there are other problems. Automatic album art download support is spotty at best. More importantly, there are some stability issues when playing Java Network Launching Protocol, and occasional program crashes were far more common than they should be.
What's new in this version: Version 1.10 adds Java Network Launching Protocol command-line option.
